Aims

  • Train fellows in interventional pulmonology with sufficient expertise to act as a competent and independent consultant and expert provider of complex and advanced interventional procedures.  
  • Participate in a cohesive interdisciplinary health care team that consists of (but is not limited to) primary medicine, thoracic surgery, oncology, radiology, otolaryngology, speech and language pathologists, respiratory therapists, dietitians, language interpreters, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and social workers.
  • Administer and maintain a learning and working environment that is committed to promoting safety, well-being, professionalism, and ethical conduct to the benefit of our patients, fellow(s), physicians, and staff.
  • Integrate research objectives to develop quality clinical, translational, or basic science programs related to interventional pulmonology to assist in the creation of healthy life-long learning habits and advance the field of interventional pulmonary medicine.
